Toronto native, Jessie Reyez belts the words that every heartbroken female has ever wanted to scream at their ex, as she sings the tale of a girl who gave her all in a relationship, only to end up with nothing, but hurt. Wishing she could go back in time to turn the tables and hurt him just as much as he's hurt her, Jessie battles the infamous "The heart wants what the heart wants" syndrome, as she struggles with loving someone that is toxic for her.
"Figure" is an powerful ballad that will grab at your heart as Jessie sings the catchy but heart wrenching chorus:
"I wish I could hurt you back / Love, what would you do if you couldn't get me back / You're the one who's gonna lose / Something so special, something so real / Tell me boy, how in the fuck would you feel? / If you couldn't get me back / That's what I wish that I could do to you, you, hoo, hoo / To you, you, hoo, hoo"

#ARE YOU LISTENING?

Still drunk from his taste of fame on NBC's The Voice S.10, Paxton Ingram soulfully sings for help sobering up as he recovers from his short lived stardom and returns to his normal life.
The 23 year old's unprecedented vocal range is fully exhibited, as it soars over the sinuous production as Paxton deals with the emotions of wanting to sustain a normal life, but also wanting to rise to the occasion and go after his dreams while the spotlight is still burning hot.

Lais reveals a much more sentimental side of himself on his latest single, “For Now”, as he rhythmically raps to his girl about his limited free time due to his newfound success and hectic work schedule.
Appreciating her for being there well before the fame and wishing he could freeze time whenever they spend time together, Lais raps, “You're the one who seen me at my lowest / when I was always high / but now I’m always working / cause I'm always trying / and I ain't around / I never say your mine…”. Going on to explains that this is only ‘for now’ and she won’t have to wait around forever, Lais does a great job at putting a unique twist on a modern day love story.
Still discovering himself as an artist and constantly experimenting with new styles to evolve his sound, The Pakistani rapper's gloomy aesthetic works well against the mellow electric guitar riddled production, equating to a much different Toronto sound than we are used to.
